Colombia today is a country overflowing with talent. International superstars like Feid, Karol G, J Balvin, as well as rising artists like Ryan Castro, Blessed, and Beele are taking over the world with their vision and discipline. In this article, we want to give attention to the emerging artists who are not yet well known outside of Colombia. We have prepared this list of 15 Emerging Artists that you should know, as curated by us, Putumayo based music group High Music.
Apiasere
Originally from Orito Putumayo, Colombia, Apiasere has traveled the world through his musical talent. He first developed his skill by rapping on the streets, subways, festivals; anywhere that he could express his music. His talents have taken him on international tours in countries including Ecuador, Bolivia, and Spain.
Apiasere has made a name for himself in rap, but also explores genres such as Dancehall and Cumbia. He has traveled to Europe where he participated in Ac. Radio space for artists in which the artist El Alfa has also participated. Apiasere is an artist committed to representing his native department and his most recent single is titled Hoy Nos Vamos Remix in collaboration with Terry Mba.
Apiasere has released more than 15 songs on his YouTube channel, featuring collaborations with Venezuelan, German, African, Peruvian artists. Although he resides in Madrid, his goal is to represent Putumayo wherever he goes.Zaaza
Zaaza got his start in 2018 by singing acoustic covers of popular songs. He then began participating in battle rap events in the city of Mocoa, where he was able to make a name for himself. Following those presentations, he was induced to write his own lyrics, around 2019 he created his first song called “Sensaciones” with the support of the producer Willie Blues.
He had the opportunity to open an event for the international singer Afaz Natural in the city of Mocoa, Putumayo. After a few years he ventured to Medellín with his producer “JcovMussic”. Upon returning to Mocoa, he received the support of the producer Sady Music and his label “Tai Company”, leading to further collaborations.
Zaaza has performed on many large stages in Colombia, and his musical journey is just beginning.
Doble AA
Doble AA is a Colombian singer and composer raised in the municipality of Puerto Asís, Putumayo.
His musical career began when he was 7 years old with the National Batuta Foundation, a Foundation teaching musical knowledge to children ages 6-16. six and 16 years of age that provides knowledge of musical reading and writing and basic skills for motor, rhythmic, auditory, and vocal, through collective musical practice, through the active participation of initiation ensembles and choir.
In 2018 he was part of the first trinational orchestra that was made up of three countries, Colombia, Peru and Brazil, which played in the municipal theater of Medellín, Antioquia. In 2019 he was part of a project called Batuta Talents, which allowed him to become a part of a professional philharmonic. In October 2021, he also began to be part of fmpsessions in which he has released more than 5 singles from different genres such as Bachata, Reggaetón, Merengue, Salsa, among others.
Doble AA continues his professional studies at the University of Cauca in the city of Popayán, Colombia. He is in the sixth semester of his Instrumental Music degree in which he will graduate as a Master in violin, while continuing to release singles with the audiovisual production company fmpsessions.
HIGH MUSIC
This Puerto Asís based musical group is composed of 3 members: Fory (Luis Camilo Fory Delgado), Bcriss (Cristian Camilo Cabezas Delgado), and Daner (Dumar Castillo Quiñonez).
The trio first met in 2015 for the purpose of making music, and in a twist of fate, found that they were cousins. They performed at a variety of private events before officially releasing music, slowly building their network and funds. They were able to connect with a producer to help them realize their vision, and have consistently published music since then.
HIGH MUSIC has accumulated an impressive performance resume over the last 9 years, including tours in Putumayo and Ecuador. The group also has done school and media tours within Medellin. They are dedicated to representing Putumayo as a destination for world-class talent. Their plans in 2024 include releasing songs within the genres of Guaracha, Afrobeat, and Dancehall.
Fevier Daza
In the heart of Putumayo, a musical talent emerged that has captured the essence of the region through captivating melodies. Artist Fevier Daz has emerged as a spokesperson for the experiences lived by its people through his unique compositions. One of his most moving pieces, “Noches Negras,” becomes the echo of a dark time that many Putumayenses faced during years of conflict.
The Putumayense Artist is one of the oldest musical acts in Puerto Asís. He has traveled to different parts of the country where he has met public figures and received awards. Last year, he demonstrated his skill with the Corridos Tumbados of Puerto Asís, which was well received by the public.
Blader Morales
The Putumayense Artist was part of a duet with Andres Delgado which was known by the name “Previsto,” with whom he became well-known. They separated for an unknown reason, and now he continues his artistic career as a soloist in the department of Putumayo.
Aston Maio
Music producer, composer, and audio technologist, Aston Maio is a talented 27-year-old Colombian artist with more than 6 years of experience in the music industry. He has worked on several projects with labels such as Palma productions and Ibaguetto Records, as well as with artists such as Golpe a Golpe, Ryan Castro, Fevier Daza, Maycol Riddim, Chizzy, Cojo Crazy, Franko Garcia.
He has technical training at the prestigious Fernando Sor Academy in Bogotá, as well as the Audio Medios school in Cali. Since 2021 he has been training as a Technologist in audio and musical production at the Tolima conservatory.
DFZM
In the midst of the pandemic, the idea of starting a musical career arose in DFMZ’s mind. One day, he decided to create several versions of songs by the artist Paulo Londra. Popular streamer Westcol reacted to it and confirmed that there was a gem in this Emerging Artist.
With the release of the song “Al Mienten” his career took a sharp rise, opening doors not only to himself but to the entire Cali Cartel team. It already has more than 24 million views and even after 4 months the single is still being an anthem, which shows DZFM is more than worthy of representing his hometown of Buenaventura.
El Clooy
The young Antioquian Artist became known on TikTok with a single of his own titled “GANAS" which caught the attention of several artists such as Blessed, Feid and Javielo. He then collaborated with Blessed, which took his musical career to the next level.
His latest single is titled La Salsa and already has more than 300 thousand views. His next project is a mystery, and fans are waiting in anticipation to see the artists’ growth. He has been seen in collaborations with COQUE, DFZM, SOG and among other important figures in the music industry.
PIN
Juan Camilo Solarte Vargas is a native of the beautiful capital of Putumayo, Mocoa. He is known regionally in the music scene under the pseudonym "Pin El Flaco Más Pesado". His beginnings in music date back to 2021 with performances in commercial premises, restaurants, social events, and other places. At only twenty-one he has managed to position himself as a notable artist, with his hits titled "Yo Sabia", "Amor Callado", "Te memoria" and "D' Cabeza" .He received the award for Best Urban Artist and Best Collaboration at the Vox Awards. He also performed on the main stage of the Mocoa Folkloric Carnival, the main festival of the municipality.
He currently resides in the city of Medellín, where he develops his career as an independent artist.
Soley
Soley González Jaramillo, better known in the music scene as Soley GJ, was born in 2005. At 17 years old, she managed to sign with Sony Music under the management of Juan Diego from Industria Ing. She recently released her album “Bellaquita” and the collaborative single “TODOS MIENTEN” has more than 24 Million views after 4 months.
She will soon release her next project TU BABY. This song will be published in the urban genre, which will be a shift for her after several years of performing Colombian Guaracha.
Vanny Fucci
Sebastián Jaramillo Velasquez better known by his stage name Vanny Fucci, is a Colombian singer, rapper and composer. Since he was little he has shown his passion for music, writing his own songs and imitating artists of his greatest admiration. He was born in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Medellin.
He seeks to generate an impact on the genre, innovating with his artistic style and personality, combining dance and graphic art with painting.
Esteban Rojas
Hailing from Cali, Esteban Rojas is rising in the music industry due to his immense talent for rapping and creating unique sounds in the urban genre.
Before the country's young people chanted 'Chacal' with Tuny D and SOG, the artist made a big splash on the charts and at parties with 'Bulevar', a production in which he collaborated with Pirlo and Kapo. With contagious rhythms and catchy lyrics, the Cali artist creates an auditory experience that reaches its peak by encouraging audiences to dance. The talent of Esteban Rojas is evident in every beat of the music, and it is not surprising that he is seeing considerable success.
Dekko
Dekko is a singer who was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, on December 21, 1999. He originally comes from a background of business administration and engineering, but found that field did not satisfy him. He began his music career in 2019, having to balance his work and his studies.
Among his musical discography, he has songs like "Imperfecta", "Carita Linda", "Videollamada", "La Vacilo", among others that have already been liked by his fans on digital platforms.
Pirlo 420
Emanuel Cortés Herrera (July 25, 1999), also known as Pirlo 420, is a singer and composer, born in Cali. Noted for his unique style, lyrical fluidity and captivating rhythm, he has left a significant mark on the music scene.
He began his foray into the musical world in 2020, taking his first steps in freestyle. The following year, he began creating music, despite not having the necessary equipment. However, this limitation did not stop the emerging artist. Pirlo’s career took off with a series of releases on YouTube, but it was his song “Ziploc,” released on December 15, 2021, that catapulted him to fame. The song caught the attention of Blessd, who shared a video in a nightclub with “Ziploc” in the background.
From there, they began a conversation that culminated in an invitation to Medellín from Blessd. In that same year, Pirlo released his first EP titled “El Diablo & La Rata”, in collaboration with Yepo TFOM. Pirlo 420 is part of the collective of Cali artists, the Cali Cartel, which features other talented artists such as Esteban Rojas, Reboll333, Los Rogelios, El Mala Fama, Lael, Deuxer, DFZM, Robin Rouse, Soley, Demon, among others.
